In search of the Holy Grail.

Miu Miu's f/w 06 line enamoured me at first sight: the wedges that were like precious chunks of eighteenth century architechture, the blood stained lips, the "savage" presentation, all stirred lust in my soul which has proved to be lasting love. Nothing, however, shined like the beautiful brocade minidresses.

They were perfect; eye catching and young without being too "fun". Understandably, I've been searching for a similair version more budget friendly to a fourteen year old babysitter, but have been left mostly dissapointed. Still, I will present to you the fruits of my labor:

This dress from Anthropologie bares a striking resemblance to the Miu Miu dresses, but is unfortunately a tad outside of my price range. Lovely, but for a rather weighty $458.

Pretty, but a bit toned down. Also a smidge too expensive for me, but only a smidge! $276 from Nordstrom.

This color was beautiful, and the print was very close to those on the Miu Miu dresses. Also, at $174.99 from my God-send, bluefly.com, it is quite feasible!

Sure, nothing dead on, but I will continue my quest to find a dress made in Miu Miu's likeness!

Yes, because their pictures are usually the best quality and show the full model and outfit. I usually watch the videos from other blogs (like coutortue) or sites first, though, so I can see how the clothes move. But I definetly recommend looking at their collections, they're beautiful. I can't wait for the new Miu Miu and Prada collections, Miuccia is one of my favorite designers. But thank you!
